金屬之性與非金屬之性有異，其異皆列於下:

二、金屬多有光澤，而非金屬者無。
三、金屬能曲能延，非金屬則不然。
四、金屬所熔及所沸之温皆高於非金屬者。
五、金屬皆能導電，非金屬多不能導電。
六、等量之金屬常重於等量之非金屬。
