金獅湖
金獅湖，古名大埤，座落於臺灣高雄市三民區之覆鼎金，圍獅頭山南、北、西三面，雨日時節可供治水，使覆鼎金居民免洪氾之災，今日已設金獅湖公園，為本地百姓於閒暇時之娛樂場域。
歷史
清代覆鼎金百姓稱大埤旁之丘為虎頭山仔，其後又改稱獅山、獅頭山。而獅頭山於大埤旁，百姓觀其形而稱水下金獅（因其為黃土之砂岩丘陵，古人傳統以黃土喻金，含吉祥之意）。臺灣光復後，政府於此地新闢為風景區，百姓逐稱此湖為金獅湖，稱此地為金獅湖風景區。
