古銅錢
錢，又稱鑄貨、
硬貨、
硬幣，乃金鐵所鑄，所以權貨輕重，通民有無者也。上古之制，多以金、
銀、
銅
為之，行於市廛，歷代相沿。至於近世，則以鈔為母，而錢為子，其值稍卑。故常以鐵、
錫
之屬鑄之，以資磨兌，謂之「輔幣」。其上多鑄銘文、年號，以紀其時、明其值焉。
