西曆二二二年三月廿九午時，
長沙望城民樓一，忽傾圮
。樓高六層有奇，本民所私築，肆宅相參，內有商舖、
食肆、
影院、
旅舍、
民居甚衆。築之有年，未嘗修葺，樑柱浸壞，不堪重負。事出倉卒，樓中之人多未及走避，遂為所壓。罹難者凡五十有四。
