天監七年八月初六，生元帝於后宮。是日大赦。尋拜為修容，賜姓阮
氏。嘗從元帝出藩。
大同九年六月薨於江州
。正寢年六十七。其年十一月葬江寧縣通望山
。諡曰宣
。元帝即位，有司奏追崇為文宣太后
。尚祔小廟
。
承聖二年，追贈太后父、齊故奉朝請石靈寶散騎常侍、
左衛將軍，封武康縣侯，母陳氏武康侯夫人。
