陳仁炳，字仲華，湖北武昌人。幼承庭訓，聰穎過人，負笈滬江大學，復渡重洋，獲密西根大學社會學博士。歸國後執教滬上，主講復旦、聖約翰。抗戰時投身救亡，呼籲團結禦侮。戰後入中國民主同盟，與羅隆基等共倡憲政，直言敢諫，鋒芒畢露。新政初立，任政務院參事，然秉性剛直，未肯曲附。五七反右禍起，削職勞改，廿載沉淪。及至平反，鬢已星霜。晚歲潛心著述，輯《辛亥革命史論》存世。其人學貫中西，命途多蹇，然錚錚風骨，猶存士林記憶。
