世祖文皇帝諱蒨，字子華，一名曇蒨、荃菺，始興昭烈王長子也，
陳高祖霸先之侄。高祖受禪，立為臨川郡王，邑二千戶，拜侍中、安東將軍。永定三年六月景午，高祖崩，世祖登基。癸酉，世祖疾甚。是日，崩于有覺殿。六月甲子，群臣上謚曰文皇帝，廟號世祖。景寅，葬永寧陵。
