下邳淮浦人也。家世仕宦，祖為廣漢太守亹，伯為太尉球

珪少舉孝廉，除劇令，後遷濟北相，又轉沛相。
時袁術據淮南，欲僭號，以書招珪，並執其子應
為質。珪拒之，復書斥其逆謀，辭義凜然。
及呂布據
徐州，術欲與布結姻為援。珪與其子登
患之，乃說布拒術，並遣登使許，結好於曹操，共圖呂布。
建安三年，操東征，圍布於下邳。珪父子為內應，布軍遂潰。事定，操表登為廣陵太守，贈珪中二千石之俸。
