陶弘景
（西历四百五十六年四月三十日—五百六十三年三月十二日；宋孝武帝孝建三年梁武帝大同二年），字通明，自號華陽隱居，賜號貞白先生，丹陽秣陵人也（今南京）人。南朝道士、文學家、書法家，博學多才，善為文辭，尤工山水，精於醫藥、天文之學，兼通釋道二教，尤尊東晉上清經，為上清派宗師。

仕南齊，為親王侍讀，以後官職卑微，辭官歸隱，率弟子隱於茅山，專心修道。武帝時，常遣使諮詢國事，時人稱之為山中宰相。

弘景耽情煉丹、鑄劍，著《真誥》《登真隱訣》《本草經集注》等，皆為道教、醫學之經典。元茅山宗追尊為第九代宗師。其學識淵博，為後世所推崇，千載而下，猶令人追慕不已。
