藤原北家嫡流近衛家之文庫也。藤氏諸分家，以近衛為最盛。所藏文書尺牘，典籍工巧皆在此庫也。今在京都市西北，近嵯峨野，仁和寺邊宇多野。有書庫二棟，事務所一棟。更有藏室百二十餘坪。所藏國寶凡八件，重要文化財六十件。并歷代藤氏關白記。中尤以藤原道長《

》為貴。蓋道長自筆也。及今千年矣。近衛家家司所記，亦在庫中。
