雷峰塔

雷峰塔，
西湖南山之塔也。為吳越王
錢氏所建。塔之初形也，外八角，內五層。塔檐、平座、遊廊、欄杆，咸為木耳。其內刻有《
華嚴經
》，下本奉金剛羅漢十六尊，後移諸淨慈寺。基下有宮，久無人知，及至近世，方始探矣。

入口為巨石阻，重約七百五十公斤。地宮之正中也，有鐵舍利函焉。側有銅佛像一、銅鏡四、銅錢若干。
舍利函之內，有金塗塔、方形銅鏡、皮帶、玻璃瓶、鎏金銀盒。金塗塔內供有佛螺髻髮。

及至明
嘉靖時，
倭寇侵杭州，火之。磚身以外，無有存者。已而數百年，
一九二四年九月二十五日午後，卒崩。一九九九年，
杭州官府議復建之，越三年乃成。
