史記
》作若敖二十七年薨，子熊坎即位，是為霄敖。霄敖六年，薨，子熊眴立，是為蚡冒
。以霄敖為若敖之子、蚡冒之父也。
《國語鄭語》韋昭註曰「蚡冒，楚季訓之孫，若敖之子熊率」，以蚡冒為若敖之子也。《楚居》作宵敖酓鹿，稱「若敖酓義徙居鄀，至焚冒酓帥自鄀徙居焚，至宵敖酓鹿自焚徙居宵」。亦以蚡冒後為霄敖也。
