飛艇者，人造飛行物也，用帆布制之，充氣為球，漲則徐徐升空，底部系籃，可運客載物，其浮游天際時，可由掌舵者操控，升降進退自如，昔無飛機，多用此物航空。 然飛艇體型巨大，遇天氣惡劣，輒有安全隱患，故今人多不用，唯科學實驗有見，蓋其成本低廉也。
