馬金鳳者，原名崔金妮，生山東曹縣，幼家貧，隨父乞討，至河南開封，拜師馬雙枝，取藝名馬金鳳，因唱戲謀生，由是奉業梨園，勤學不輟。 金鳳嗓音明亮，唱功嫺熟，不數年有成，民國末，駐唱皖北界首，紅極一時，坊間譽曰蓋九州。 金鳳擅帥旦之角，創馬派藝術，弘揚豫劇有功，其代表作，若《楊八姐遊春》《十二寡婦征西》《穆桂英掛帥》《花打朝》《花槍緣》，皆經久不衰，又能跨界，嘗學藝梅蘭芳，德藝雙馨，名揚天下，豫劇大師之稱，實至名歸。 西曆二二二年五月，卒，年百歲。
