人。
乾隆六十年一甲三名武進士，授二等侍衛，在乾清門行走。
嘉慶元年四月，請假回籍。二年正月，因貴州南籠狆苗叛，呈請自備資斧，赴軍營効力。五月，隨雲貴總督勒保攻克水烟坪隘卡。八月，進勦洞洒，勒保督命策應，將敵營全行洗蕩。經勒保以「打仗奮勉」奏請留黔陞用，得旨：「二等侍衛馮元准其留於貴州以參遊補用。」三年三月，雲貴總督鄂輝派領黔省官兵赴川，勦捕白蓮教眾。五月，補授貴州台拱營參將。戎馬數載，功勳尤著。十年五月，陞上江協副將。閏六月，擢古州鎮總兵，八月卒。
