宋故荊南節度使、
侍中諱保勗，或作保勉

南平文獻王第十王子也。
南平貞懿王同母弟。晉天福元年，為漢州刺史。累遷檢校太尉充行軍司馬領寧江軍節度使。
宋太祖初，拜荊南節度使。
建隆三年十一月薨。侄繼沖嗣立。朝廷追贈侍中。以無爵故，無廟、謚。
