宿衛。忠惠王五年二月丁未，高龍普抱王，以見元惠宗，惠宗問曰：「汝學父乎？抑學母乎？」對曰「願學母。」惠宗嘆其天性好善惡惡，遂令襲位，時，王年八歲。下敎，戒國內臣僚，一革弊政，慰恤百姓。元年，復置政房。瀋王暠卒。三年，彦陽府院君金倫卒，諡貞烈。興寧君安軸卒，諡文貞。四年十二月，王薨於金永旽第，在位四年，壽十二。
