魯之君。
景公之子也。
景公二十一年薨，子叔即位，是為平公。平公二十年薨，子賈即位，是為湣公
。《史記·六國年表》以平公在位十九年，元年為周赧王元年（公元前三一四年），十九年為赧王十九年（公元前二九六年）。楊寬《戰國史料編年輯證》以平公在位二十年，元年為周顯王四十七年（公元前三二二年），二十年為赧王十二年（公元前三三年）。
