蒼鷹

鷹者，
飛禽之長也。其形似鳥
而大，其喙
銳而彎。其翼
廣而強，能高飛遠翔，捕捉山林之獸
。其目明而遠，能察千里之外。其爪銳而利，能獵飛禽走獸。其聲嘹而亮，能震懾眾鳥之心。故古以鷹為君子之象，稱為「鷹揚」，言其志高而行遠也。

鷹能高飛而疾墜，能遠視而近擊，能獨行而群居，能鳴呼而應和。
天子之旗，以鷹為飾；士人之志，以鷹為喻。鷹之為物，威武而不凶，嚴肅而不悍，故為萬物所敬也。

鷹之性剛而不馴，故古以鷹為獵具，謂之「放鷹」。放鷹者，先以繩索縛鷹之足，使之附於手臂，待見獵物，則解其索，使之飛出。鷹既得獵物，則還歸於主人，受其賞賜。
