華製新漢語者，與和製漢語相對，謂西學東漸以降，華人自譯之語。大抵以嚴譯、《
萬國公法
》、《
英華字典
》、《
海國圖志
》、《
幾何原本
》等為其選。而《萬國公法》、《海國圖志》傳日本，復轉為東譯之先階，至今襲用。而嚴譯則多廢矣，獨邏輯、
圖騰、
烏托邦等數語傳耳。
